We’ve lived so long under the spell of hierarchy—from god-kings to feudal lords to party bosses—that only recently have we awakened to see not only that “regular” citizens have the capacity for self-governance, but that without their engagement our huge global crises cannot be addressed. The changes needed for human society simply to survive, let alone thrive, are so profound that the only way we will move toward them is if we ourselves, regular citizens, feel meaningful ownership of solutions through direct engagement. Our problems are too big, interrelated, and pervasive to yield to directives from on high.

Beware of Dangerous Articles by Rob Kall of OpEdNews

Click here to access article by John Spritzler from NewDemocracyWorld.

I'm not sure that Rob Kall is any more dangerous than all the other political liberals that exist in abundance in the US. He serves as another propagandist for the notion that there is a kinder, gentler capitalism and hopes to contain serious inspection of capitalist rule by giving an internet platform for many liberals to blow of some critical steam. Spritzler really takes apart the idea that there is a kinder, gentler capitalism with his devastating critique of America's favorite historical liberal, Franklin Roosevelt.

Capitalists of all stripes have a deep vein of authoritarianism that runs through their political souls, and I noticed that this was embedded in Kall's soul several years ago when I tried unsuccessfully for five or six months to get off his email subscription list. I finally started complaining directly to the authors he was featuring and got success.
