US Intervention in Syria at Crossroads

Lazare gives an excellent geopolitical description of the current situation in eastern Syria in the wider context of relations among the US and Middle Eastern countries. Of direct personal interest to me was his implication that the Syrian Kurds are actively collaborating with the US to establish their own independent territory.
